Yesterday I attended a brunch to kick off the new Mom's Group at our church. Two ladies have been working for months to prepare for it and I thought I would try attending something that I had no part in planning. They did a great job and it was a lot of fun to just sit back and enjoy things. The first semester starts on Thursday evening. We will meet 2 nights a month for a Potluck dinner, a guest speaker and then a craft. There were about 25 moms there yesterday and I was excited to see a wide range of women...all the way from some who are pregnant with their first to those with teenagers. I was a bit hesitant to commit to the first semester because it's one more evening away from home (it goes thru June), but decided to give it a a try and see how it goes.
I've never been a part of an actual "mom's group" so I'm looking forward to trying it out!
